HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TRAINING FOR ARMORED COMBAT?

I started training in soft-kit towards the end of November 2021.

DO YOU HAVE ANY BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE IN MARTIAL ARTS OR OTHER SPORTS?

I wrestled in high school and college and played football all my life.

HOW DID YOU LEARN ABOUT ARMORED COMBAT AND WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO JOIN?

I kind of just stumbled upon it one night and something just clicked in my brain so I joined the North Horde and never looked back.

DO YOU REMEMBER HOW YOU FELT IN YOUR FIRST FIGHT? CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE EXPERIENCE?

I was scared shitless in my first fight because I didn’t think I was ready but after I got my first couple of axe swings in on my opponents I realized how much fun this sport truly was.

WHAT IS YOUR PREFERRED WEAPON? DO YOU HAVE A PARTICULAR FAVORITE?

I prefer long axes and polearms, but my favorite weapon is my long axe I bought at Carolina Carnage 2023.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ARE SOME POSITIVE ASPECTS THAT COME FROM THE SPORT?

The best part of this sport is the community with everyone being so welcoming to newcomers and hyping each other up for fights.

Fitness is another big part of it since I started armored combat I’ve been encouraged to push my limits and get in better shape

WHAT IS YOUR FIGHTING STYLE – IF YOU HAVE ONE?

My fighting style is mostly just being a meat wall eating shots until I see a chance to bring down my axe on someone

DO YOU THINK FIGHTING CHANGES WHO YOU ARE AS A PERSON? HOW HAS IT AFFECTED YOU PERSONALLY?

Fighting really turned me into a different person it increased my self-esteem tenfold and helped me drop like 40 pounds since I’ve started

WHAT WOULD YOUR ADVICE BE FOR NEW PEOPLE INTERESTED IN THE SPORT?

Get as much helmet time as you can and never say no to a fight, Even if you’re going to get destroyed you’ll still learn something and be able to improve a little.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO FOR THE FUTURE OF ARMORED COMBAT SPORTS?

I’m looking forward to the sport getting more popular and fighters growing as a community.

ANY FINAL WORDS YOU WANTED TO MENTION?

If anyone wants to fight or train with me shoot me a message and we can figure something out I’m always looking to improve and make new friends in the sport.
